What is School Gateway?
School Gateway is a parent portal (app and website) for communications from Breckon Hill Primary School. It provides a single point of contact that allows a parent to receive messages and letters, view payment requests, and view balances from Breckon Hill and react to those notifications free of charge.
We actively encourage our parents to sign up for a School Gateway account to communicate more efficiently and directly with you, whilst allowing parents to have the ability to communicate back to school. We will notify you by APP or email when new items such as school trips or events are taking place and other school news. You will also be able to give online consent, where required, for your child to take part in activities.
The School Gateway also incorporates on line payments system. Breckon Hill Primary School is moving towards cashless school to reduce the amount of cash carried by children on school premises. The School Gateway will make it easier for our parents to view school meal balances and pay any time 24-7. A number of our parents are already using the School Gateway and making online payments for school dinner money via the School Gateway smartphone app or website.
How do parents activate a School Gateway account?
School will require your current email and mobile phone number on school record. Most parents can set themselves up with a School Gateway account. If you have trouble logging in, it may be because the school does not have your current email and mobile phone number on record. Please complete the reply slip to ensure we have the correct contact information on our school records system before you begin.
Simply follow the 4 step set up guide to activate a School Gateway account:
Download the app: If you have a smartphone, please download ‘School Gateway’ from your app store (Android and iPhone). The app shows the same information as the website PLUS you can send app messages to the school for FREE – this will also save the school money when we send messages.
What if I am unable to log in/activate a School Gateway Account?
